Youth Ambassador Program

About CHA-YAP

AWS’ Crownhood Academy Youth Ambassador Program (CHA-YAP) is a leadership development opportunity for middle and high school teenage girls. Building on A Woman’s Standard's mission to help young ladies break through barriers for academic, emotional, and behavioral success, CHA-YAP aims to equip young women with the tools to become catalysts for change in their homes, schools, and communities. Throughout the program, Youth Ambassadors will engage with educational leaders, non-profit leaders, community leaders, policymakers, activists, and advocates to further understand urgent matters affecting girls in secondary education and actively contribute their viewpoints to initiate change.

CHA-YAP serves as a continuation of A Woman’s Standard's mission, devoted to transforming the minds and futures of young women, cultivating womanhood, fostering leadership skills, and molding the next generation of emotionally mature, well-rounded, and self-sufficient women leaders. CHA-YAP’s core values are based on:

Healing & Emotional Wellness

Unity & Sisterhood

Power & Leadership

Research & Advocacy

And Crownhood Ignites the Leader within to Create Change.
